Job Overview

Position: Process Engineer

Our innovative approach transforms plastics back into their fundamental components, enabling the creation of new plastics and other valuable materials. We aim to change the perception of used plastics from waste to a resource, contributing to a sustainable future.

The Process Engineer will play a vital role in delivering engineering solutions for the advancement and implementation of our unique thermal liquefaction technology. This position offers the opportunity to lead initiatives as we aspire to be the leading provider of ISCC Plus certified pyrolysis products. The successful candidate will be responsible for generating engineering documentation and offering technical support to both the project development team and the commercial division throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee, execute, and/or assess all components of a Process Design Package (PDP), which includes but is not limited to:
    • Basis of Design
    • Material and Energy Balances
    • Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs)
    • Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)
    • Process Equipment List
    • Equipment Data Sheets
    • Utility Summary
    • Process Control Narrative
    • Instrument List
    • Line and Valve List
    • Relief Load Summary
  • Gain insights into the process technology through operational experience and mentorship from the engineering team.
  • Provide technical expertise during engineering and safety evaluations, including PFD and P&ID reviews, model assessments, and hazard analyses.
  • Contribute innovative ideas for technological enhancements aimed at minimizing capital and operational expenditures for new facilities.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders across all stages of the project lifecycle, from feasibility to startup and commissioning.
  • Deliver on-site construction, startup, and commissioning technical support.
  • Enhance the efficiency of our technology deployment processes.
  • Offer process technical assistance to the commercial team.
  • Maintain effective communication with the engineering team and project stakeholders.
QualificationsMinimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Chemical Engineering.
  • Proven technical and practical engineering capabilities with a track record of delivering high-quality work within deadlines.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant industry experience in engineering design or capital projects, particularly in PSM regulated environments.
  • Strong foundation in process engineering principles, including:
    • Process Simulation
    • PFD & P&ID Development
    • Hydraulic Calculations
    • Process Vessel Sizing
    • Overpressure Analysis and Relief Load Calculations
  • Familiarity with industry standards, specifications, codes, and regulations (e.g., ANSI, ASME, API, NFPA, PIP, TEMA).
  • Experience with process modeling software such as Aspen+, HYSYS, or ChemCAD.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD; experience with Plant 3D is advantageous.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a strong sense of accountability.
  • Willingness to travel up to 20% as required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in engineering capital projects within the chemical, petrochemical, or oil and gas sectors.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience as a lead engineer or discipline lead on multidisciplinary capital projects.
  • Basic understanding of other engineering disciplines.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to sit for extended periods while working on a computer.
  • Capability to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.
Compensation

The salary range for this position is $90,000 to $130,000, commensurate with experience and expertise.
