Position Overview
The Clinical Nurse Specialist for Interventional Services plays a pivotal role in enhancing the quality of care for patients undergoing procedures in the Cath/EP Lab, Diagnostic Radiology, Interventional Radiology, and Vascular Access. This position emphasizes the importance of education and support for both nursing staff and patients.

Key Responsibilities
1. Develop, implement, and assess educational programs tailored for nursing staff and patients.
2. Identify trends in patient outcomes to guide performance improvement initiatives.
3. Provide clinical expertise and support to facilitate progress towards performance improvement objectives.
4. Integrate research and evidence-based nursing practices into the clinical environment.
5. Contribute to the formulation of healthcare policies and related educational efforts within the institution and the broader community.
6. Assist in the transition process for new graduate nurses, serving as a clinical resource and change agent.

Qualifications
- Required Education: Master of Science in Nursing (MSN)
- Required Experience: Minimum of 5 years in nursing, preferably within an interventional services context.
- Required Licensure: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kentucky or a compact state, with a valid American Heart Association BLS certification.

Physical Demands
This role requires regular walking and the ability to utilize a computer workstation, along with occasional patient care activities such as transfers and mobilization.

Work Schedule
This is a full-time position with a day shift schedule during standard business hours.
