Avionics Systems Engineer

Mount Indie is seeking an experienced Avionics Engineer to join our team. As an Avionics Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and integrating avionics systems and subsystems for various aircraft platforms.
Key Responsibilities- Apply knowledge of avionics engineering principles, processes, and procedures to improve performance and sustainability of existing and future aircraft systems.
- Support Aircraft Information Management Systems (AIMS) requirements, testing, and certification, as well as spectrum management requirements, testing, and certification.
- Use knowledge of Communications, Navigation, Surveillance/Air Traffic Management (CNS/ATM) requirements, policies, and regulations to define requirements, complete CNS/ATM compliance matrices, and support testing and certification of aircraft and supporting systems.
- Support and assist systems analyses, including avionics system design, design feasibility, and state-of-the-art assessment.
- Attend technical reviews and provide technical advice on the path forward to installation of new hardware and software into the system.
- Assist in reviewing and performing assessments on program-specific databases.
- Support project team meetings, working groups, and reviews as needed.
- Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in an ABET-accredited engineering discipline, and fifteen (15) years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, five (5) years of which must be in the DoD.
- Knowledge of avionics engineering in support of avionics subsystem definition, development, integration, and verification methods.
- U.S. Citizenship required; Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance at the required level.
