The RoleWe are seeking a Senior Account Executive to join our team, responsible for leading day-to-day account work and projects across our Public Health portfolio. The ideal candidate will be a communications strategist with experience in healthcare, able to marry knowledge with agency expertise.
This is a hybrid role, requiring regular collaboration with our JPA offices and participation in business development activities.
Responsibilities- Direct day-to-day account work and projects across JPA's Public Health portfolio, including brief development, project planning, and client relationship management.
- Manage the execution of integrated communications and marketing programs and campaigns, including disease awareness/education campaigns, association member engagement, public affairs campaigns, media relations, and thought leadership efforts.
- Collaborate with our in-house creative, media, web, and research teams to develop communications messages and products across channels.
- Evaluate and produce high-quality written content, demonstrating proficiency in diverse types of communications writing.
- Support new business efforts, including research, strategy development, and proposal writing.
- Act as a liaison between clients, vendors, and internal and external audiences, including healthcare providers, coalitions, media, medical experts, and other interest groups.
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional with a strong background in health communications and a passion for public health. The ideal candidate will have:
- A Bachelor's degree or higher with relevant experience in communications projects.
- Experience supporting integrated communications and marketing campaigns reaching the public and professionals.
- Health communications experience, particularly in support of professional associations, nonprofits, and foundations.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, flexibility, and a professional manner.
- Ability to take initiative, manage multiple tasks, and work both independently and as a team.
- Understanding of public health, health equity, and the changing healthcare environment.
