What You'll Do
The role of a Power Equipment Sales Consultant is to deliver exceptional customer service while focusing on achieving and surpassing sales targets across all Power Equipment categories.
This position requires a deep understanding of power equipment, familiarity with retail financing processes, knowledge of competitive product lines, and experience in building relationships and closing sales.
The relevant product categories for this role include, but are not limited to:Tractors, Tractor Attachments & Implements, Zero-Turn and Riding Lawn Mowers, Utility Trailers, UTVs, and all associated accessories and parts.
As a Power Equipment Sales Consultant, you will serve as the primary contact for all customer power equipment needs throughout the entire lifecycle of their equipment (sales, service, warranty, etc.).
Provide outstanding customer service by assisting potential customers in finding power equipment products that align with their specific requirements.Ensure that product displays and signage are correctly positioned and maintained to maximize sales.
Adhere to the Outdoor Merchandising Guide in its entirety to guarantee that all products are set and maintained according to company standards.
Guide customers through the retail financing process and ensure all prerequisites are fulfilled prior to the release of the equipment.
Assist with the receipt, movement, and display of power equipment products.
Conduct pre-delivery inspections (PDI) when receiving and selling any applicable equipment.
Coordinate the delivery of equipment products to customers as required.
Maintain the Salesforce system with up-to-date customer information throughout the entire lifecycle of the equipment.
Ensure accurate inventory management of tractors in both the store inventory systems and the Salesforce system.
Coordinate service and repair tasks with the RK mechanics, parts department, and mobile technicians.
Assist customers and store mechanics with repair documentation in the Salesforce system, including creating cases, parts requests, completing work orders, and finalizing warranty claims.
Cross-train other associates within the store to assist power equipment customers.
Help maintain the cleanliness of the store's exterior and the entire workshop area.
Utilize general office equipment regularly, particularly the ability to frequently operate a keyboard for data entry.
Engage in cross-training for versatility across various departments and responsibilities.
Stay informed on the latest industry developments.
Provide friendly, proactive, and professional support to both internal and external stakeholders, addressing inquiries, concerns, and issues promptly and effectively.
Perform additional duties as assigned.

Strong background in using electronic devices, including tablets, computers, and online applications.

Strong communication skills (written, oral, and interpersonal).
Ability to access and utilize in-store computer systems, scanning equipment, and wireless handheld devices.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods.
Repetitive wrist movements on a keyboard.
Ability to lift, push, and/or pull a minimum of 30 pounds repetitively and 31-50 pounds intermittently.
Skill to effectively communicate verbally with others, both in-person and via electronic devices.
Ability to use a ladder, pallet jack, and/or forklift.
Close vision for computer-related tasks.
