Medium Voltage Power Transformer Application Specialist

Position Overview:
The role of the Application Engineer for Medium Voltage Power Transformers involves providing essential technical assistance for Noark Electric's sales, customer service, and direct engagement with end-users regarding the application of medium voltage (MV) power and distribution transformers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver application support for MV Transformers and MV/LV power systems to customers and internal teams, including R&D, Engineering, Marketing, and Customer Service.
- Collaborate with Product Marketing and Engineering to create and implement product documentation, such as data sheets, user manuals, catalogs, and online configuration tools.
- Work alongside the R&D team to assist in the innovation of new products through market research and leveraging existing knowledge of MV power systems.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and materials within the MV Transformer market.
- Utilize software tools for the design and analysis of product integrity, features, and performance.
- Address and resolve technical issues related to assigned products through effective problem analysis.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME or MSME) or a related field; a Master's in Electrical Engineering (MSEE) is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience with MV electrical equipment, including Power Transformers, Distribution Transformers, Switchgear, and/or MV Breakers.
- In-depth knowledge of U.S. codes and standards, including NFPA 70, NFPA 70E, and relevant UL and ANSI/IEEE product standards.
- Familiarity with mechanical manufacturing processes and metal processing techniques, with the ability to independently resolve design and manufacturing challenges.
- Proficient in preparing single-line diagrams, schematic diagrams, and mechanical drawings to convey product application and engineering specifics.
- Competent in using MS Office tools, Pro/E, Solidworks, Autodesk, CAD, and other related software.
- Exhibit strong teamwork capabilities, adaptability to cross-cultural environments, and a commitment to achieving results.
- Possess agile thinking, an innovative mindset, and strong communication skills, with fluency in English, both written and spoken.
