Position: Application Engineer - Medium Voltage Power Transformer

Overview: As an Application Engineer specializing in Medium Voltage Power Transformers, you will provide essential technical assistance to sales teams, customer service, and directly to end-users regarding the application of medium voltage (MV) power and distribution transformers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver application support for MV Transformers and MV/LV power systems to both customers and internal teams, including R&D, Engineering, Marketing, and Customer Service.
  • Collaborate with Product Marketing and Engineering to create and execute product documentation, such as data sheets, instruction manuals, catalogs, and online configuration tools.
  • Work alongside the R&D team to support the development of new products through market research and leveraging existing knowledge of MV power systems.
  • Stay informed about new technologies and materials in the MV Transformer sector.
  • Utilize software tools for designing and analyzing product integrity, features, and performance.
  • Address and resolve technical issues related to assigned products.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME or MSME) or a related field; MSEE is preferred.
  • Over 5 years of experience with MV electrical equipment, including Power Transformers, Distribution Transformers, Switchgear, and/or MV Breakers.
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant codes and standards in the USA, such as NFPA 70, NFPA 70E, and applicable UL and ANSI/IEEE product standards.
  • Familiarity with mechanical manufacturing processes and metal processing techniques, with the ability to independently resolve design and manufacturing challenges.
  • Ability to clarify technical issues during project execution and ensure the accuracy and integrity of technical specifications, agreements, and drawings.
  • Proficient in preparing single-line diagrams, schematic diagrams, and mechanical drawings to convey product application and engineering details.
  • Competent in using MS Office tools, Pro/E, Solidworks, Autodesk, CAD, and other related software.
  • Strong teamwork skills, adaptable to a cross-cultural work environment, and accountable for delivering results.
  • Innovative mindset with agile thinking.
  • Excellent communication skills, with fluency in English, both written and spoken.
