About the Role: As a Community Business Developer at Surv - Nashville, you will be responsible for building key relationships with local institutions, businesses, and residents to raise awareness about our company, generate business, and recruit members to our team. This entrepreneur-like role requires you to design and execute plans to meet business goals, think creatively, and work collaboratively with others internally and externally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generating new business through channel partnerships and events such as real estate and festivals
  • Maintaining and leveraging warm relations with current channel partners and client relationships to develop 5-6 figure contracts over time
  • Developing corporate partnerships as an employee benefit and health care benefit
  • Creating referral partners for recruitment with colleges, churches, and trade schools
  • Coaching and mentoring a business development intern to support lower-level networking/business development

Requirements:

  • Entrepreneurial mindset, driven to own and meet goals
  • Organizational skills, able to track various tasks, prioritize, and complete tasks efficiently
  • Strong local connections and relationships within the community
  • Tenacious, can-do attitude, especially in the face of challenges
  • Kindness, optimism, curiosity, intelligence, empathy, self-awareness, and integrity
  • Must live in Tennessee, own a smartphone, and have reliable transportation
  • Must be available to work full-time (at least 40 hours/week)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of experience in a sales role

  • Construction, landscaping, home improvement, and/or contracting experience preferred, but not required
