Agricultural Business Professor

Job Summary:

The School of Agriculture at Middle Tennessee State University invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position in Agribusiness at the rank of assistant or associate professor. The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate strong quantitative skills and the ability to excel in applied research, secure external funding to support a nationally recognized research program, and teach a variety of undergraduate agribusiness courses.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach undergraduate agribusiness courses, including policy, management, marketing, data analysis, and finance.
• Supervise undergraduate research projects.
• Develop and teach online courses.
• Advise student organizations.
• Engage in public service and student mentoring.

Required Education:

A terminal degree in agribusiness, agricultural economics, economics, applied economics, natural resource and environmental economics, business, agricultural leadership, marketing, management, or a closely related field is required by the appointment date.

Desirable Qualifications:

Applicants with evidence of high-quality teaching experience, demonstrated through course evaluations and recommendations, the ability to conduct and publish agribusiness-related research, evidenced by presentation and publication records, and a track record of attracting or potential to attract external funding will receive special consideration.
