About the Role:

The University of California San Francisco seeks a highly skilled Medical Office Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our administrative staff, you will be responsible for representing the practice as the public face and working closely with various teams to support operations and customer service recovery efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing excellent customer service to patients and staff
  • Facilitating accurate information flow and maximizing unit efficiency
  • Routine clerical operations and communications

Requirements:

  • High School graduate or equivalent with four years related experience; or college degree and 6 months related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong computer skills, including basic keyboarding skills, and experience with at least two Office-type software programs (i.e., Outlook, Word, and Excel)
  • Ability to analyze situations, prioritize, and develop solutions and make recommendations
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and use good judgment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in healthcare in patient scheduling, insurance verification, medical record data abstraction, or patient financial services
  • Prior experience with appointment, ancillary service, or surgical scheduling or a combination of all three
  • Bi-lingual or multi-lingual capability (Spanish, Cantonese, and Russian) strongly preferred

Salary and Benefits:

The salary range for this position is $31.91-$45.70 per hour. The University of California San Francisco offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
