Job Overview

This position is based at a key military installation and is not eligible for remote work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee all facets of Packaging, Handling, Storage, and Transportation (PHS&T), including inventory management and the movement of materials.
  • Manage a large warehouse or storage facility with minimal supervision.
  • Conduct receiving operations to verify the integrity and accuracy of incoming items.
  • Ensure proper issuance of requested materials to customers.
  • Maintain organized storage of equipment and materials in designated locations.
  • Inspect and repackage items as necessary to maintain quality during storage.
  • Monitor and document the calibration of test equipment to ensure readiness for use.
  • Process shipping requests and deliver items to designated recipients.
  • Utilize Material Handling Equipment (MHE) for the transportation of bulk items.
  • Track stock levels and initiate reorder processes as needed.
  • Prepare reports as directed by the warehouse supervisor.
  • Document any loss or damage to government property and report accordingly.
  • Handle necessary paperwork for inventory turn-ins and excess items.
  • Manage and replenish stock for essential supplies.
  • Assist with furniture assembly and relocation as required.
  • Maintain accurate records of tools and materials essential for logistics operations.
  • Follow instructions from senior staff as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years of experience in warehouse or logistics operations.
  • Proficiency in computer operations and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Basic understanding of warehouse procedures.
  • Familiarity with hazardous material handling regulations.
  • Experience with Property Management systems is preferred.
Additional Requirements
  • Ability to operate general PHS&T equipment, including forklifts and hand trucks, with training provided.
  • Physical capability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, and lift items over 50 pounds with assistance.
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.
  • Valid U.S. Driver's License is required.
  • Compensation is determined by the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
