Position Overview:
The Customer Service Consignment Specialist plays a crucial role in managing all activities related to the creation, analysis, audit, and reconciliation of inventory requests. This position is pivotal in supporting both existing and new customer implementations through EDI, AX, and SAP systems. The specialist will develop and execute processes that align with Imerys' business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure inventory objectives are met for Imerys and its offsite warehouses while maintaining profitable inventory levels.
- Act as the primary contact for customers regarding inventory reconciliation, cash collections, and the order-to-cash process.
- Maintain accurate and current records of all active inventory.
- Participate in organizing and executing annual physical inventory counts to verify goods and materials.
- Collaborate with internal teams to enhance operational efficiencies and elevate customer experiences.
- Report discrepancies identified during processes and audits.
- Work closely with the sales team to mitigate issues related to aging orders and obsolete inventory.
- Employ problem-solving techniques to refine supply chain processes.
- Conduct monthly reporting of on-hand and system inventory through SAP/ERP.
- Train and mentor new employees on inventory systems and procedures.
Qualifications:
- A strong dedication to customer satisfaction.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and prioritize time efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills in a professional context.
- Strong organizational skills, sound judgment, and decision-making capabilities, with a commitment to confidentiality.
- Proficiency in SAP, ERP, Salesforce, and Google Suites is essential.
- Willingness to travel as required.
- A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience of 3+ years in a relevant field.
Compensation:
The salary range for this position is $50,000.00 to $65,000.00 USD, and it is a full-time, permanent role.
