Lead Patient Access Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Patient Access Specialist to join our team at Children's Hospital & Medical Center. As a key member of our front office team, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating patient access operations, ensuring seamless and efficient patient flow, and providing exceptional customer service to our patients and families.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and coordinate front office operations, including patient registration, scheduling, and billing
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of patient demographic and insurance information
- Verify patient eligibility and benefits, and initiate the Children's Connect sign-up process
- Respond to patient and family inquiries, and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner
- Collaborate with the clinical team to promote a team-based approach to care
- Provide training and support to new employees, and maintain a positive and productive work environment
- High school graduate or GED required; previous lead experience in a medical office or healthcare setting preferred
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft operating environment
- Ability to read, write, and perform arithmetic calculations
- Current and valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 180 days
