Position Overview: A prominent organization in the Mortgage sector is in search of a Senior Vice President of Quality Assurance to lead their team. This role will be pivotal in shaping the strategic vision of the Quality Assurance division in accordance with the company's objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and articulate the strategic vision for IT Quality Assurance to ensure it aligns with overarching IT business goals.
  • Formulate standards, processes, and frameworks that promote high-quality and uniform results for software quality assurance.
  • Oversee the deployment and evaluation of quality assurance technologies and automation solutions.
  • Analyze trends and opportunities within the software quality domain to foster innovation and enhance organizational effectiveness.
  • Engage closely with stakeholders to comprehend business requirements and deliver superior solutions, providing regular updates on organizational status, challenges, and successes.
  • Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop data-driven roadmaps to ensure transparency on progress within the quality assurance team for both team members and stakeholders.
  • Manage the organizational budget, as well as relationships with third-party vendors and partners.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Over 15 years of experience in IT quality assurance, demonstrating a successful track record in implementing quality programs.
  • At least 10 years of combined experience in software engineering, IT quality assurance, and DevOps.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience collaborating across IT disciplines, including software engineering, DevOps/IT Operations, information security, and governance.
  • Over 10 years of experience in a senior leadership capacity managing teams and resources.
  • 5+ years of experience in the financial, banking, or mortgage sectors is preferred.
  • Proven leadership experience in developing and managing high-performing quality assurance teams.
  • Strong technical expertise in software development life cycles, quality assurance methodologies, and automation tools.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with all organizational levels and external stakeholders, including advanced problem-solving capabilities.
  • A strong inclination towards innovation and a commitment to staying abreast of the latest trends and technologies in quality assurance.
  • Strategic thinking ability to integrate quality assurance with broader business objectives.
  • A customer-focused mindset, ensuring that the end-user experience remains central to quality assurance initiatives.
