Overview:
As a pivotal leader within Qualcomm, the Vice President of Quality and Reliability will oversee a range of critical functions aimed at enhancing product excellence and operational integrity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership in quality management, establishing quality objectives and performance metrics to drive improvements across the organization.
- Directly manage teams responsible for Customer Quality Engineering, Supplier Quality Engineering, Quality Systems, Reliability Engineering, and Software Quality Engineering.

- Ensure compliance with industry quality standards, providing guidance to various departments to enhance processes and foster continuous improvement.
- Oversee all quality activities to ensure adherence to internal standards and customer-specific requirements.
- Develop and implement training programs to promote quality awareness throughout the organization.
- Establish qualification requirements and procedures to guarantee product reliability, ensuring timely completion of reliability assessments during the NPI process.
- Define ongoing reliability standards during high-volume production.
- Deliver exceptional product quality throughout the lifecycle, integrating quality considerations into NPI and HVM processes.
- Manage the overall 'Cost of Quality' across business processes, technology, and operations, encompassing product development, supply chain, and manufacturing.
- Contribute to corporate strategies related to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) through quality inputs.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, Material Science, or a related technical discipline.
- Over 15 years of experience in Quality and Reliability within complex technological and high-volume manufacturing sectors.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in the semiconductor industry.
Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA or Master's degree in Engineering, Physics, Material Science, or a related technical field.
- 20 to 25+ years of experience in Quality/Supplier Quality within a manufacturing context.
- Proven track record in implementing and managing Quality Control processes from Supplier Quality Engineering to Manufacturing Process Control.
- Experience in establishing Quality Management Systems, including ISO 9001:2000 implementation and quality auditing.
- Strong problem-solving skills, including expertise in methodologies such as Six Sigma and root cause analysis.
- Deep understanding of industry quality standards and processes.
