Position Overview: Under the guidance of Warehouse Management, you will oversee and engage in the logistics operations including shipping, receiving, storage, and distribution of materials and inventory. You will maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing inventory and prepare necessary reports. As a leader, you will mentor and direct a team of warehouse staff, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team to achieve operational goals effectively and safely.
  • Ensure warehouse targets are met while maintaining safety standards.
  • Collaborate with procurement, maintenance, and quality departments to optimize warehouse operations.
  • Maintain a strong presence on the warehouse floor to support personnel.
  • Foster a collaborative and engaged work environment.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, GMP, and SQF protocols.
  • Provide training on company policies and job-specific responsibilities.
  • Monitor adherence to quality standards and maintain high sanitation levels.
  • Implement efficient use of resources to minimize waste.
  • Conduct regular reviews of company policies to ensure compliance.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment, reporting any safety issues promptly.
  • Participate in root cause analysis for incidents.
  • Assist in the shipping, receiving, and inventory management processes.
  • Inspect incoming shipments for quality and accuracy, addressing discrepancies as needed.
  • Plan and manage storage locations for optimal space utilization.
  • Operate various warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Ensure all procedures are followed according to standard operating protocols.
  • Act as a liaison between warehouse operations and IT support for system-related issues.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Certifications in SQF, GMP, and HACCP are preferred.
  • Experience in warehouse operations and supervisory roles.
  • Knowledge of inventory management and warehouse management systems.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate a diverse team.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to lift and move various weights and perform physical tasks as required.
