About the Role

The Materials Supervisor is a key member of the Amcor Rigid Packaging team, responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of the facility's production planning, inventory control, customer service, and logistics.

This role provides support to the Production, Maintenance, and Warehouse Departments to deliver high-quality containers to customers in a timely manner.

The Materials Supervisor will oversee materials employees and ensure compliance with company and plant policies, as well as local and federal laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform daily production planning and monthly scheduling to maximize equipment efficiencies
  • Enter sales orders and subsequent changes to guarantee customer requirements
  • Purchase raw materials and shipping materials needed by production departments
  • Communicate with customers to satisfy product and delivery needs
  • Supervise and assist with inventory control through cycle counting, production scheduling, and warehousing
  • Assist with regular maintenance of manufacturing data base
  • Supervise and train materials and warehouse departments
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and government regulations
  • Ability to write reports and business correspondence
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond in group environments
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistics
