Supported Employment Manager

The Arc of Palm Beach County Inc. is a vibrant nonprofit organization dedicated to serving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Our mission is to empower over 3,500 individuals to achieve their fullest potential in a supportive community.

Role Summary:

This role reports directly to the Director of Career Development and is tasked with overseeing the Employment Specialists to ensure effective service delivery and adherence to the program model.

Under the guidance of the Director of Career Development, the Supported Employment Manager will collaborate with various stakeholders to provide comprehensive, person-centered services tailored to individual client needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Director of Career Development in maintaining quality assurance and compliance with program standards.
  • Supervise the implementation of the program model to ensure fidelity and curriculum integrity.
  • Provide ongoing training and professional development for Employment Specialists to enhance their skills.
  • Manage a team of up to eight (8) Employment Specialists, offering both administrative oversight and field support.
  • Act as a resource for Employment Specialists during client evaluations and reviews.
  • Ensure accurate data collection and maintenance for internal reporting purposes.
  • Conduct monthly reviews of records for each supervised team member as part of quality assurance.
  • Perform field observations to assess service delivery and compliance.
  • Step in to manage client caseloads during staff absences or vacancies.
  • Facilitate the onboarding and training of new Employment Specialists.
  • Complete all mandatory training sessions related to the program.
  • Exhibit a collaborative work ethic, supporting a high-performance environment that yields positive outcomes.
  • Maintain professionalism and ethical standards in all interactions, promoting a culture of respect and diversity.
  • Communicate effectively in both written and verbal formats, ensuring clarity and understanding.
  • Foster productive relationships through open communication and collaboration with team members and external partners.
  • Demonstrate initiative and innovative problem-solving skills.
  • Engage in research and implementation of best practices to enhance service delivery.
  • Meet the physical demands of the role as required.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership.

  • Work collaboratively within a diverse team, respecting cultural differences.

Education and Experience:

A Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Social Work, Business Administration, or a related field is required; a Master's degree is preferred. A minimum of five (5) years of experience in employment services, workforce development, or human resources is essential.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to remain stationary for 50% of the time.
  • Capability to walk and position oneself for inspections and observations.
  • Frequent lifting of boxes weighing up to 25 pounds.
