We are currently looking for a Process Engineer to engage in process and project engineering initiatives within our Industry and Water Segment. This role will focus on enhancing processes, developing and executing new projects, managing capital investments, and resolving existing process challenges. The successful candidate will also contribute to process safety and change management, reporting directly to the Plant Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Compliance with EHS and SOPs: Adhere to all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) protocols, ensuring compliance with safety standards. Assist in the development and upkeep of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for both new and existing systems, promoting safety and operational efficiency.
  • Management of Projects and Engineering: Lead and oversee capital investment initiatives, coordinating with external engineering teams for larger projects or specialized disciplines. Work closely with procurement managers to ensure seamless collaboration across engineering functions.
  • Process Design and Enhancement: Conduct thorough process design activities, including the creation of P&IDs, PFDs, capacity assessments, and equipment selection (such as tanks, reactors, pumps, valves, and instruments). Develop Process Functional Descriptions and General Arrangement drawings, specifying materials of construction in line with engineering standards and best practices.
  • Technical Assistance and Continuous Improvement: Provide technical support and troubleshooting for manufacturing and maintenance operations, driving ongoing enhancements in plant processes and systems. Collaborate with plant personnel to optimize operations, maintain accurate plant documentation, and update equipment and instrument records.
  • Process Safety Management: Support all facets of process safety, including managing the change process (MOC), conducting process hazard analyses (PHA), overseeing safety action items, auditing safety protocols, and performing e-startup safety reviews (PSSR). Investigate and address process incidents to maintain a safe work environment.
Qualifications:
  • Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering, with 5-7+ years of relevant experience in Process Engineering and/or Project Engineering, demonstrating a strong focus on continuous improvement.
  • Project and Construction Management Experience: Proven experience in managing multidisciplinary projects, with knowledge of automated system specifications and functional descriptions being advantageous.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong computer skills, particularly in MS Office applications, with excellent English language proficiency for effective communication and documentation.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal abilities, capable of working collaboratively within a team. Leadership experience is a plus, showcasing the ability to guide and inspire team members.
  • Personal Attributes: A self-motivated individual with a flexible, problem-solving approach, able to adapt to changing situations and proactively tackle challenges to achieve project objectives.
