Reports to: Consumer Lending Processing Supervisor I

Supervisory Responsibilities: None

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Address all inquiries from members via phone, mail, and online regarding loan approvals, denials, guidelines, policies, and programs.
  2. Notify members and branches of approved loan requests, detailing the terms and conditions associated with the loan.
  3. Collaborate with members and branches to gather necessary information and documentation for loan closures.
  4. Process, fund, and finalize CLC mail and E-Sign loans.
  5. Collect all loan-related documents, verify the authenticity of title documents, and obtain loan payoffs when required.
  6. Develop and review loan checklists to ensure compliance.
  7. Generate adverse action letters and pre-approval letters as necessary.
  8. Monitor and manage requests and applications in assigned loan queues, phone queues, and email inboxes.
  9. Execute additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience: A minimum of one year of progressively responsible experience in a related role, ideally within the consumer lending sector or a similar member service position. Direct public contact experience is preferred. Proficiency in typing at least 35 wpm, operating a 10-key calculator, and familiarity with online data operations is required. The ability to handle challenging situations with diplomacy is essential. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends is expected.

Advancement Opportunities: Progression to Consumer Lending Processing Specialist II or III, Category 13 or 12, is contingent upon meeting established performance standards set by management. Relevant work experience and/or completion of accelerated training may be considered for advancement.

Compensation:

Salary Range:

  • Consumer Lending Processing Specialist I (Category 14): $41,484 - $60,567 annually
  • Consumer Lending Processing Specialist II (Category 13): $44,803 - $66,309 annually
  • Consumer Lending Processing Specialist III (Category 12): $48,387 - $73,549 annually

The starting salary will be determined based on the candidate's experience, qualifications, education, and applicable local or state wage requirements, falling within the specified range.
