Position Overview

MBI Acquisition Corp is a leading provider in occupational healthcare, dedicated to the treatment of individuals who have sustained work-related injuries. Our organization is expanding its footprint and is looking for a Patient Care Coordinator to join our team.

Role Summary

The Patient Care Coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring that our patients receive exceptional service and care. This position involves various administrative and clinical tasks aimed at supporting our healthcare professionals and enhancing patient experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Welcome patients, manage incoming calls, schedule appointments, and follow up on missed appointments.
  • Oversee all aspects of workers' compensation visits.
  • Facilitate the transmission of necessary medical forms and documentation to insurance providers and employers.
  • Organize and attach all relevant documents to patient records.
  • Prepare and maintain patient charts for new consultations and therapy sessions.
  • Handle pre-authorization requests, including liaising with insurance companies for necessary approvals.
  • Collect follow-up reports from referring healthcare providers.
  • Ensure all required documentation is signed by healthcare providers.
  • Maintain a clean and welcoming office environment.
  • Ensure accurate billing and data entry for all services rendered.
  • Request medical records from external facilities as needed.
  • Generate recall reports for patient follow-ups.
  • Assist with some back-office medical tasks, with training provided.
  • Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in a dynamic medical office setting is preferred.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is advantageous.
