Healthcare Administrative Coordinator

TemPositions is seeking skilled Healthcare Administrative Coordinators, Medical Registrars, and Office Support Specialists to join our team in various healthcare facilities. Candidates must be fully vaccinated to work in these environments. We are looking for individuals with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a dynamic healthcare setting, such as a clinic, doctor's office, or hospital. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential, as these roles involve regular interaction with patients, healthcare providers, and administrative staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcoming and assisting patients upon arrival
- Managing a high volume of incoming calls
- Coordinating appointment scheduling, confirmations, and changes
- Conducting patient registration processes
- Preparing and organizing patient charts
- Verifying insurance information
- Maintaining and digitizing patient records
- Arranging surgical appointments
- Updating patient information in the database
- Facilitating surgery pre-authorization
- Performing additional clerical tasks as needed
Qualifications:
- At least 2 years of recent experience in a healthcare setting
- High School Diploma or equivalent is mandatory
- Strong multitasking abilities
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in MS Word and Outlook
- Experience with medical software (e.g., EPIC, IDX, Cerner, or Eagle) is advantageous
- Bilingual candidates (English/Spanish) are encouraged to apply
- Willingness to work on weekends and holidays as required
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday (1st shift) with rotating weekends and holidays.
