Position Summary

We are seeking a Vice President to oversee a Business Support Group dedicated to Economic Research functions across the Federal Reserve System. This role will also cater to the technological requirements of the FOMC Secretariat. The individual will be responsible for fostering relationships between business lines and National IT, collaborating with stakeholders at all organizational levels, including senior executives in both business and technology sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the Business Support Group, ensuring tailored support for assigned business partners and addressing specific demands.
  • Establish a positive culture within the team, fostering high performance and trust.
  • Influence and motivate a geographically dispersed team, aligning their vision with the group’s objectives.
  • Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including CIOs and senior leaders, while setting clear objectives for the group.
  • Proactively address changes in the business landscape, ensuring alignment between business priorities and group direction.
  • Act as the primary liaison for National IT, managing overall business relationships.
  • Develop proposals regarding team composition and budget management, in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Work closely with leadership to enhance cross-team collaboration and support technology initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years in a leadership role is highly preferred.
  • Proven experience as a change leader, effectively driving business and technology strategies.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams through transitions successfully.
  • Experience managing IT functions in large-scale environments.
  • Track record of talent development and empowerment.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies, product management, and change management.
  • Experience in research or related business lines is advantageous.
  • Willingness to travel domestically as required.
