Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct daily audits and reconciliations of Slot machine activities, producing detailed analyses of performance metrics.
  • Create comprehensive analytical reports on Slot machine hold and performance, utilizing both actual and theoretical data.
  • Identify, monitor, and communicate any discrepancies in gaming machine data to relevant departments.
  • Quickly recognize patterns of erroneous data and make informed decisions regarding adjustments to metered data.
  • Ensure the accuracy of all drop data and revenue reported through the Slot system in compliance with internal control standards.
  • Compile and analyze financial data to prepare journal entries for general ledger accounts, documenting all business transactions.
  • Generate periodic financial statements and statistical reports in the required formats.
  • Assist in high-level reviews of casino audits, jackpots, and other financial transactions, preparing reports to substantiate individual transactions.
  • Collaborate with supervisors and department heads on investigations and compliance management.
  • Recommend improvements to current accounting procedures to enhance daily audit processes.
  • Verify financial transactions by auditing relevant documentation.
  • Develop and implement systems for general accounting and audit preparation, enhancing reporting accuracy.
  • Support the annual preparation and filing of tax documents such as W2Gs, 1099s, and 1042s.
  • Utilize the uniform chart of accounts in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Maintain knowledge of gaming regulations and internal controls relevant to the organization.
  • Promote responsible gaming and alcohol service by reporting any concerns to management.
  • Exhibit behaviors that align with the company's mission and values, including communication, integrity, and accountability.
  • Notify management of any observations of illegal activities or ethical violations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field is required, along with two years of experience in an accounting or analytical role. Experience in casino accounting is strongly preferred. This position may require work on weekends and holidays.

Work Environment:

  • The role involves frequent standing, walking, and handling of materials, with the ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
  • The work environment is fast-paced and may be crowded and noisy, typical of a casino setting.
  • Effective communication in English is essential for interacting with guests and fulfilling job responsibilities.

Closing:
