Key Responsibilities:

Under the guidance of the Revenue Verification Supervisor and Manager, the selected candidate will be responsible for:

  • Conducting daily audits and reconciliations of Slot operations, producing detailed analyses of performance metrics for each gaming machine.
  • Generating comprehensive analytical reports on Slot hold and performance, utilizing both actual and theoretical data.
  • Tracking and communicating conversions, installations, and discrepancies of gaming machines to relevant departments.
  • Identifying patterns of erroneous data promptly and making informed decisions regarding data adjustments during audits.
  • Ensuring the accuracy of drop data and revenue reported through the Slot system in compliance with Tribal Internal Control Standards.
  • Compiling and analyzing financial data to prepare journal entries for general ledger accounts, documenting business transactions accurately.
  • Reporting financial information in the required format for periodic financial statements and statistical reports.
  • Assisting in high-level reviews of casino audits, jackpots, unclaimed jackpots, and related financial documents, preparing reports to support individual transactions.
  • Collaborating with supervisors and department heads on investigations and compliance management.
  • Recommending updates to accounting procedures to enhance daily audit processes.
  • Verifying financial transactions through thorough document audits.
  • Developing systems for general accounting and audit preparation, enhancing reporting of casino revenue.
  • Assisting in the annual preparation and filing of W2Gs, 1099s, and 1042s.
  • Utilizing the uniform chart of accounts in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Maintaining knowledge of gaming regulations and internal controls.
  • Demonstrating a commitment to responsible gaming and alcohol service by reporting concerns to management.
  • Exhibiting behaviors that align with the company’s core values of Communication, Integrity, Fun, Respect, Accountability, Passion, and Dedication.
  • Ensuring timely reporting of any illegal acts or internal ethics violations to management.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field is required, along with two (2) years of experience in an accounting and analytical role, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous experience in casino accounting is strongly preferred. This position requires availability on weekends and holidays.

Work Environment:

  • The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands, reach with arms, and communicate effectively.
  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds regularly.
  • The work environment is fast-paced, often crowded, and noisy, typical of a casino setting.
  • Effective communication in English is essential for interacting with guests and fulfilling job responsibilities.
