Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct daily audits and reconciliations of slot machine activities, generating performance analyses on a daily, monthly, and annual basis.
- Create in-depth analytical reports on slot machine performance, utilizing both actual and theoretical data.
- Identify, monitor, and communicate any discrepancies or errors in gaming machine operations to relevant departments.
- Quickly recognize patterns of invalid data and make informed decisions regarding necessary adjustments during audits.
- Ensure accuracy of all drop data and revenue reported through the slot system, adhering to internal control standards.
- Compile and analyze financial data to prepare journal entries and document business transactions.
- Prepare periodic financial statements and statistical reports in the required formats.
- Assist in the review of casino audits, jackpots, and other financial transactions, preparing reports to support individual transactions prior to settlement.
- Collaborate with supervisors and department heads on investigations and compliance management.
- Recommend updates to accounting procedures to enhance daily audit processes.
- Verify financial transactions by auditing supporting documents.
- Develop and implement systems for general accounting and audit preparation, including enhancements to reporting tools.
- Assist in the annual preparation and filing of necessary tax documents.
- Utilize the uniform chart of accounts in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Maintain familiarity with gaming regulations and internal controls.
- Promote responsible gaming and alcohol service by reporting any concerns to management.
- Exhibit behaviors that align with the company’s mission and values, including communication, integrity, and accountability.
- Report any observations of illegal activities or internal ethics violations promptly.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field is required, along with two years of experience in an accounting or analytical role. Experience in casino accounting is highly preferred. This position requires availability on weekends and holidays.
Work Environment:
- The role requires frequent standing, walking, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- The work environment is fast-paced, often crowded, and may involve exposure to second-hand smoke and excessive noise.
- Effective communication in English is essential for interacting with guests and performing job duties.
Closing:
Preference in employment practices is given to Native Americans, with first preference to members of the Seminole Tribe who meet job requirements.
Final candidates will undergo a background check as part of the employment process, which may include credit checks, criminal background checks, and drug screening.
