Job Overview

Position Summary

The Revenue Assurance Specialist plays a crucial role in the financial oversight of the Gaming and Sportsbook sectors. Reporting to the Revenue Verification Director, this position is responsible for ensuring accurate financial reconciliation and reporting within the Revenue Verification and Sports Book Audit Department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reconciliations.
  • Conduct thorough research and analysis of accounts to provide management with insightful financial information.
  • Perform daily uploads, imports, and reconciliations of Gaming and Sports Book revenue.
  • Verify the precise posting of all Gaming revenue, statistics, and tax activities.
  • Ensure that daily income is accurately recorded in the general ledger.
  • Prepare and distribute the Daily Revenue Report to stakeholders.
  • Adhere to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and comply with relevant regulations.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of three years of experience in the Gaming, Sports Book, or Hospitality industry, or as an Accountant with a strong interest in the Gaming sector. Candidates should have a solid understanding of accounting principles, including the creation and reconciliation of journal entries. Previous supervisory experience is also required.

Essential Skills

  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and other accounting software.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

Work Environment

This position is primarily office-based, within a climate-controlled environment. Candidates should be prepared to work in a dynamic setting that may include exposure to typical casino-related factors.
