Position Summary:
We are currently seeking a customer service-oriented Desktop Support Technician to enhance our mission-driven team. This role is essential for ensuring the seamless operation of desktop and laptop systems, printers, and video conferencing setups.
Key Responsibilities:
The following outlines the primary duties associated with this position:
- Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues for various computer systems, including desktops and laptops operating on multiple Windows versions.
- Install, configure, and maintain workstations with approved software and imaging.
- Manage the setup and operation of video conferencing systems across multiple locations.
- Ensure compliance with standard operating procedures and service level agreements.
- Document and update asset management records for all equipment.
- Utilize ticket tracking systems to manage and resolve support requests efficiently.
- Assist in the relocation of IT systems and peripherals as necessary.
- Provide support for local and network printers, and occasionally for Linux and Macintosh systems.
Qualifications:
Applicants must possess the following qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Certifications such as A+, MCDST, and other Microsoft credentials are highly preferred.
- A minimum of one year of experience in a networked environment, supporting various operating systems and software applications.
- Strong communication skills and a customer-focused attitude are essential.
- Experience with remote support tools and ticketing systems is advantageous.
Clearance Requirement:
Candidates must be eligible to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
