Social Media Marketing Intern

Position Overview:

Empirical Foods, Inc. offers an exceptional internship program designed to provide students with a valuable experience in a leading manufacturing technology firm. This program not only identifies potential future leaders but also immerses interns in our unique corporate culture, showcasing the diverse career opportunities available within our organization.

Our internships are structured as temporary summer roles lasting approximately 10-12 weeks. Each intern will undertake specific projects that allow them to actively contribute to our manufacturing team while gaining a comprehensive understanding of their chosen field.

During the internship, participants will collaborate with internal teams on assigned projects and have the opportunity to engage with senior management to discuss their personal and professional growth.

Interns may be considered for full-time positions based on their performance throughout the internship. We provide housing assistance when necessary and organize various intern activities, including sporting events, dinners, and team lunches, to foster social interaction, professional development, and deeper insights into our company.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the development and implementation of social media strategies.
  • Curate engaging content for our social media channels.
  • Craft social media posts that align with the company’s brand identity.
  • Research and propose innovative content ideas.
  • Create and schedule social media content.
  • Capture photographic content that showcases our employee and intern culture.
  • Assist in the creation, filming, and editing of videos for our social media platforms.
  • Devise strategies to enhance audience engagement.
  • Support professional photo and video shoots.
  • Perform all essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Execute additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

Skills and Competencies:

  • Proficient in utilizing social media for brand visibility and engagement.
  • General computer literacy and proficiency.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel.

Demonstrated Skills:

  • Excellent oral and written communication abilities.
  • Comfortable interacting with individuals to gather content.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff, both verbally and in writing.
  • Consistent and punctual attendance is required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Work is conducted in an office environment.

Experience: Familiarity with social media platforms such as Instagram, LinkedIn, and Facebook is essential.
Education: Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
