Reports to: Assistant Athletic Director for Athletic Communication and Director of Intercollegiate Athletics

The University of Sioux Falls, a member of NCAA Division II and the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference, is in search of a dynamic, enthusiastic, and innovative individual to support the Athletic Department in communication, promotion, and event operations. Candidates should thrive in a collaborative environment, adhere to deadlines, and possess familiarity with collegiate athletics. This role presents an excellent opportunity to delve into the world of college sports while gaining hands-on experience in social media management, videography, and photography within an athletic context.

Key Responsibilities

  • Enhance and promote the University of Sioux Falls Athletic Department's image and its 19 NCAA Division II programs through various digital and social media platforms.
  • Conceptualize and create digital content including static graphics, motion graphics, highlight videos, and display system graphics.
  • Assist in organizing and executing headshots, team photos, and videos that showcase student-athletes and athletic staff for creative projects.
  • Collaborate with the marketing and communications department to elevate the athletic brand and image.
  • Manage in-game social media operations, including score updates and reporting.
  • Capture engaging content for highlight reels, social media updates, and other creative initiatives during home events.
  • Support the archiving of statistical data, photographs, and video footage.
  • Perform additional related duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in sports media, marketing, graphic design, business, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience in sports information or sports videography/photography is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Premiere, After Effects, InDesign) is essential.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office are required.
  • Familiarity with SIDEARM, NCAA Livestats, and StatCrew is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary; ability to work independently and under pressure while meeting deadlines is crucial.
  • Willingness to work non-traditional hours, including evenings and weekends; travel may be required; valid driver's license and successful completion of a background check are necessary.
