Job Overview

Insight Global is on the lookout for a skilled Lead Infrastructure Systems Engineer to become a vital part of our client's Technology Services Division.

Key Responsibilities:


Collaborate with various IT teams, including Information Security, Service Desk, Quality Assurance, Production Support, and product vendors to strategize, implement, and maintain a robust, high-performing, and reliable infrastructure and application ecosystem.

Take ownership and provide hands-on management for the planning, deployment, and ongoing maintenance of the organization's infrastructure and applications.

Engage in proactive monitoring, identification, and resolution of intricate infrastructure and application challenges.

Enhance team efficiencies and capabilities through DevOps and automation initiatives.

Ensure the creation and upkeep of timely, precise, and comprehensive documentation and operational procedures for systems and team activities.

Identify and address security vulnerabilities effectively.

Oversee the administration and management of multi-tiered COTS applications, public-cloud services, physical and virtual servers, mid-tier storage arrays, SAN, security appliances, and Active Directory along with Group Policy.

Facilitate secure remote access and manage remote desktop/VDI solutions.

Adhere to Incident, Problem, Configuration, and Change Management processes and controls.

Perform IT Service Management functions, including ticket creation, direct communication with users and IT staff, handling incident escalations, executing troubleshooting operations, and meticulously documenting progress and status.

Qualifications:


Bachelor's degree in Computer/Information Systems or a minimum of 5 years of experience as a server/network administrator in a medium to large enterprise, with specific expertise in Microsoft Windows Server and Linux operating systems.

Proficient in automating operational tasks and processes using PowerShell or other automation tools.

Experience in a 24x7, mission-critical enterprise public cloud and on-premises data center environment.

Comprehensive understanding of multi-tiered application architecture.

Possession of one or more relevant industry-recognized certifications related to technologies such as AWS, Cisco, Microsoft, VMWare, etc.
