About the Position

We are seeking a skilled Security Operations Specialist to join our team at GSW Sports, LLC. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our employees, guests, performers, vendors, contractors, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide a Safe and Secure Environment: Ensure the safety and security of all individuals within the Chase Center complex.
  • Tour the Premises: Periodically tour the post to ensure the safety of patrons, staff, vendors, participants, and others on premises.
  • Screen Patrons: Properly screen patrons during ingress using metal detectors, bag searches, x-ray technology, and hand-wanding techniques.
  • Regulate Access: Regulate and control access points to sensitive areas throughout the arena by checking for proper credentials.
  • Resolve Escalated Situations: Resolve escalated security situations, providing appropriate warnings and complete ejections if warranted or necessary.
  • Serve as Escalation Point: Serve as an escalation point for complaints and issues.
  • Enforce Venue Policies: Ensure enforcement and compliance of the venue's event policies.
  • Handle Disturbances: Handle any disturbances or problems that arise during events at the facility.
  • Write Incident Reports: Write incident reports and meet with security supervisors to review procedures.
  • Examine Facility: Tour the facility examining doors, windows, and gates to ensure they are secured.
  • Assist with Crowd Control: Assist with crowd control inside and outside of premises, including during evacuations caused by fires, storms, riots, and other emergencies.
  • Answer Alarms: Answer alarms and investigate disturbances.
  • Assist Across Lines of Business: Assist and work across all lines of business within the organization.
  • Run Access Control Reports: Run access control reports when necessary.
  • Perform Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Experience and Skills
  • Minimum 2 Years of Hands-on Security Experience: Possess a minimum of 2 years of hands-on security experience.
  • Security Licenses: Possess all appropriate security licenses required by the state.
  • Incident Management Software: Familiarity with incident management software and reporting.
  • Microsoft Office: Proficiency in Microsoft Office to complete written reports and correspondence.
  • Relationship Building: Ability to build positive relationships with all levels of management, government agencies, and local police/fire departments.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to handle sensitive and heightened customer situations on-site.
  • Arena Knowledge: Knowledge of arena, plaza, and esplanade layout, as well as event staff roles and their associate areas of responsibility.
  • Flexibility: Ability to maintain a flexible work schedule including nights, weekends, on-call, and holidays as necessary.
Physical Demands
  • Lifting and Carrying: Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
  • Walking and Standing: Ability to walk, stand, and climb stairs for extended lengths of time.
  • Working in Various Climates: Ability to work in various climates (i.e., cold weather).
Time Commitment
  • Event Days: Available to work event days, including weekends.
  • Shift Availability: Available shifts: 8am - 4pm and 4pm - 12am.
Compensation
  • $23.00 per Hour: $23.00 per hour.
