Job Summary The Business Development Manager will be based in Farmington Hills, MI. You will be responsible for qualifying new customers and generating new business, developing business with them, achieving pipeline and bookings results according to assigned targets. Responsibilities: Utilizes customer, contentious and market intelligence to develop sales and account penetration. Recognize the breadth and depth of Flex capabilities to develop proactive solutions or answer to proposal which differentiates Flex and enables the customer to address key issues and/or drive top line growth. Create and drive personal pipeline in line with overall business unit strategy. Play a guidance role in devising strategies to promote Flex Shaping propositions to meet client requirements working alongside Regional VPs, Solution Architects and Business Development team. Knows the customers organization, products, market position, and goals, sourcing strategy, suppliers, manufacturing locations, opposition and future directions. Owns and drives the execution of the account strategy to close business. Research and knows customers business strategy, future product plans, and expansion activities. Aware of strategic fit between customers needs and Flex capabilities, in alignment with Flex business growth strategy. Qualifications: Typically requires a Bachelors degree in a related field or equivalent experience and training plus a minimum of 6 years of related experience. Ability to work with internal teams and executive management as well as external customers to maximize mutual benefit. Experience in the EMS / CMO / engineering business environment; Knowledge of Strategic Selling techniques (i.e. Miller Heimann). Understanding of key financial metrics and capability to read P&L, balance sheets, ROI indicators, taking actions to meet customers needs and Flex targets. Demonstrates expert functional, technical and people and/or process management skills as well as customer (external and internal) relationship skills. Demonstrates detailed expertise in very complex functional/ technical area or broad breadth of knowledge in multiple areas; understands the strategic impact of the function across sites.
