Peer Support Specialist - ACTT

ACTT is designed to serve as a comprehensive treatment team providing for the periodic service needs of consumers with sever persistent mental illness. This teammate will provide valuable insight and coaching to ACTT clients; helps consumers avoid rehospitalization/episodes of crisis care; achieve recovery from mental illness/substance abuse issues, meet basic sustenance needs and improve overall quality of life.
  • Full-Time Position (Temporary to Permanent)
  • Monday through Friday (8:30a-4:30p)
  • Pay Rate $16.12 per hour
  • Bilingual is desired
  • Minimum of a High School Diploma and completion of the Division-approved Peer Specialist Certification Training
  • Volunteer or employment experience in a human services setting would enhance the ability to serve as a member of ACT Team.
  • Team player with great communication skills a must
  • Supports clients by teaching and assisting to help perform household activities, access reliable transportation, accessing financial skills and services, and participates in team meetings.
  • Flexibility, sensitivity to varying cultural issues, and the ability to share information with members of a team in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Valid Driver's License with auto insurance and reliable transportation
