This unit is dedicated to providing exceptional care to adult patients recovering from surgical procedures related to gastrointestinal issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist professional caregivers in delivering patient care.
- Transport patients and equipment, ensuring a smooth operation within the unit.
- Set up and maintain patient rooms, ensuring a clean and organized environment.
- Perform various clerical tasks, including managing patient records and assisting with documentation.
- Support healthcare providers during routine examinations and procedures.
- Monitor patient care documentation, reporting any significant changes to registered nurses or physicians.
- Conduct quality assurance audits and maintain inventory of supplies.
- Provide direct personal care to patients, including bathing, dressing, and feeding.
- Assist in patient education and reinforce instructions provided by healthcare professionals.
Qualifications:
- Must be listed as Nurse Aide I on the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services Registry.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification is required.
- One year of clerical or customer service experience, along with six months of nursing assistant experience or equivalent education.
- Fluency in verbal and written English is essential.
- Ability to develop computer skills if not already proficient.

This is a full-time position with rotating 12-hour shifts, including weekends and holidays.
