This role is eligible for our Nursing Support Incentive Program, which offers a total of $5,000 distributed over a three-year commitment. We are seeking a Clinical Support Technician I (Nursing Assistant I + Clerical) for our GI Surgery Acute Care Unit. This unit is dedicated to providing exceptional care to adult patients recovering from surgical procedures related to gastrointestinal issues.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist professional caregivers in delivering patient care.
  • Transport patients and equipment, ensuring a smooth operation within the unit.
  • Set up and maintain patient rooms, ensuring a clean and organized environment.
  • Perform various clerical tasks, including managing patient records and assisting with documentation.
  • Support healthcare providers during routine examinations and procedures.
  • Monitor patient care documentation, reporting any significant changes to registered nurses or physicians.
  • Conduct quality assurance audits and maintain inventory of supplies.
  • Provide direct personal care to patients, including bathing, dressing, and feeding.
  • Assist in patient education and reinforce instructions provided by healthcare professionals.

Qualifications:
  • Must be listed as Nurse Aide I on the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services Registry.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification is required.
  • One year of clerical or customer service experience, along with six months of nursing assistant experience or equivalent education.
  • Fluency in verbal and written English is essential.
  • Ability to develop computer skills if not already proficient.

This is a full-time position with rotating 12-hour shifts, including weekends and holidays.
