Description
As a key contributor to the development and success of the practice, the Practice Manager detects, diagnoses, and solves organizational problems. They are responsible for revenue management, business administration, employee organization, and the daily operation and general management of the practice.
Essential Tasks:
- Ensure smooth practice operations, including staffing, payroll, patient care, computer systems, accounts receivable/payable, and supply functions.
- Plan, coordinate, and administer all clinical and non-clinical policies and processes.
- Monitor practice goals, patient flow, and production targets.
- Ensure adherence to the Straine Management System and oversee team meetings and action plans.
- Implement directives for company growth.
- Monitor and review fee postings and updates annually.
- Assist with telephones, appointments, and clinical/lab duties as needed.
- Handle legal and financial issues related to the practice.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
- Monitor and ensure high-level patient care and job efficiency among employees.
- Select, train, terminate, review, and motivate staff.
- Conduct performance appraisals and administer training programs.
- Coordinate continuing education for clinical personnel.
- Provide guidance and ensure adherence to company policies.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum 2 years of management/supervisory experience in a dental practice or related field.

- Directly supervise up to five employees.
- Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning work, appraising performance, rewarding, disciplining, and resolving problems.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and correspondence.
- Ability to write simple correspondence and present information effectively.
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations and compute rates, ratios, and percentages.
- Knowledge of word processing and dental software.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Physical Demands:
- Regularly use hands, stand, walk, sit, talk, or hear.
- Occasionally lift/move up to 20 pounds.
Salary Range: Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications.
