We are seeking a high-performing and enthusiastic salesperson to join our Group Sales team in expanding our corporate and national account portfolio. The Business Development Representative will partner with key members of leadership and special events managers at the store level with the goal of establishing strong business relationships with lucrative VIP level national accounts. Work with exciting brands like Culinary Dropout, The Henry, Blanco Cocina + Cantina, and more This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who loves sales and hospitality.
Responsibilities:
- Target new leads and develop new business as well as maintain existing accounts
- Build and execute strategies for growth in challenging markets and around new restaurant openings
- Maintain and grow personal account lists via phone calls and in-person visits with prospective as well as assigned accounts
- Develop feasible short and long-term sales plans and strategies for goal attainment
- Work closely with Sr Director of Group Sales to develop an annual business/market plan
- Develop a working knowledge of the company and all location amenities and brands
- Knowledge of convention cities and large-scale events in our markets; seeking out opportunities
- Develop and maintain a high profile at relevant industry events, tradeshows, and industry associations
- Participate in city convention bureaus, DMC and meeting planner associations, and other hospitality organizations that will represent FRC and showcase the company
- Investigate and report on industry trends in current and new markets
- 5+ years of experience in a National Sales role or similar role, hospitality industry experience preferred
- Ability to create and deliver product presentations tailored to the potential guest needs
- Strong motivation to build guest relationships and achieve company goals
- Excellent customer service abilities required and account management skills a plus
- Strong work ethic; able to work independently
- Ability to professionally communicate with external and internal customers
- Excellent networking, sales, negotiation, written and oral communication, time management, and organizational skills
