POSITION:

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will report to the CEO and will be a key member of the senior management team. The CFO will work closely with the CEO to formulate and execute financial and operational strategies to achieve the Company’s and all subisidiaries’ strategic goals. The CFO will advise the senior management team on the financial implications and risks related to key issues and important strategic decisions, update them on a timely basis regarding the ongoing financial condition of the Company, as well as prepare financial forecasts to help guide the business properly.

Further, the CFO will lead the Accounting and Finance teams in parallel to providing strategic financial leadership and support to the overall operations of MyOutDesk. Specifically, they will manage all accounting and financial reporting; negotiate contracts with key vendors and partners, including insurance companies and consumer products; and develop data management and operational reporting to drive strategic decisions. The CEO is looking for a partner to help guide and improve all company operational efficencies and sustainability.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

  •  Manage all accounting, financial, and risk management functions; lead people (both direct reports and possibly other key back-office staff outside the finance department as business needs dictate);
  • Ensure complete, timely, and accurate financial reporting activities, including the monthly financial reporting and analysis packages shared with the Board, investors, and banks;
  •  Coordinate and prepare annual budget and interim forecasts;
  •  Monitor and proactively communicate operating results to the CEO and the management team;
  •  Manage cash flow and bank covenants;
  •  Develop data management and analytics to be used in operational reporting and strategy execution;
  •  Coordinate with insurance brokers/attorneys to determine the best options for renewing policies, coverages, and handling claims/lawsuits;
  •  Direct activities of external auditors, outside tax professionals, and/or attorneys on various matters including the annual audit and tax planning strategies; review state and federal tax returns prior to filing;
  •  Review and negotiate customer contracts and master service agreements with support from legal counsel and key stakeholders;
  •  Perform financial modeling and analysis for senior management as needed;
  •  Provide financial support to HR and Ops functions, specifically for annual incentive plan calculations, 401(k) testing, analysis of policy renewals, reinsurance, and rate development; Provide financial support to IT and Operations functions, specifically for Vendor Agreements, cost negotiations and key purchasing decisions
  •  Evaluate potential acquisitions and investments to assist with due diligence, recommendations, letters of intent, buy/sell agreements, start-up, and integration.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Current or recent CFO (or similar function), preferably in a B2B, BPO, IT, or Business Services company; alternatively, a senior finance executive reporting to a CFO in these sectors would be considered, based on overall skills and experience of career thusfar;
  •  Excellent business and analytical skills with extensive experience in the development and management of accounting policies, internal financial controls, financial analytical tools, and financial reporting systems;
  •  Experience working in a rapidly growing business and meeting the challenges/opportunities associated with this type of environment;
  •  Organized and disciplined with a strong ability to plan, measure, and execute complex business processes;
  •  Financial planning and detailed reporting experience with an emphasis on budgeting, cost analysis, and forecasting utilizing operating metrics;
  •  Complete understanding and experience with GAAP accounting and financial reporting;
  •  Experience with the investment community (investment and commercial banks and shareholders); experience in a private equity-backed company ideal;
  •  Experiencing presenting to/working closely with a Board of Directors;
  •  Strong academic credentials; MBA and/or CPA desirable; public accounting experience is preferred, but not required.
