Purpose: The Program Support Specialist at the MassHire Greater New Bedford Workforce Board plays an important role in aiding grant program managers. This role involves a combination of administrative support, project coordination, and communication to ensure successful implementation of grant-funded programs. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Assist in the preparation and submission of grant proposals, ensuring compliance with all grant requirements and deadlines. Provide administrative support to program managers in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of grant programs. Maintain organized and up-to-date records of all grant-related documentation as instructed by program managers. Manage databases related to program participants, outcomes, and other relevant metrics. Serve as a liaison between program management, external partners, and funding agencies. Assist in the preparation of program-related materials, presentations, and reports. Support data collection efforts for grant reporting and compliance purposes. Coordinate logistics for meetings and events with external partners and funding agencies. Regular local travel as needed and other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor?s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience. Strong organizational and project management skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software. Skilled in engaging and building relationships with stakeholders, including private employers, public partners, training providers, program staff and colleagues. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a demanding environment. Familiarity with grant management/workforce development is a plus.
