We are currently seeking a Family Support Specialist (bilingual candidates are preferred) to engage in a full-time role of 40 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct personal or telehealth visits guided by the Parents as Teachers curriculum.
- Complete all necessary child and family assessments as mandated by the program.
- Engage in weekly reflective supervision sessions with your supervisor.
- Learn and apply the three essential roles of a family support specialist: partnering, facilitating, and reflecting, while working with families from diverse backgrounds through an anti-racist and non-judgmental approach.
- Build rapport with families, empowering them by recognizing and enhancing their strengths.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to serving families from various social and economic backgrounds.
- Exhibit excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Timely maintain and submit all required documentation in accordance with program standards.
- Participate in mandatory training sessions.
- Perform data entry tasks as needed.
- Facilitate and encourage family participation in group activities and program events.
- Attend Parents as Teachers training and engage in ongoing professional development as appropriate.
- Exhibit exceptional organizational and time management skills.

Qualifications:
Applicants must meet at least one of the following criteria:
- Three or more years of experience as a parent raising children aged 0-5.
- Two or more years of experience as a participant in the Parents As Teachers program.
- Two or more years of professional experience providing services to infants, toddlers, and their families.
- A CDA or Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Human Services, or a related field, along with at least one year of professional experience in providing services to infants, toddlers, and their families.
Requirements:
- A valid driver's license and the ability to provide personal transportation for appointments.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain certification upon hire.
