Child Behavioral Support Specialist, After School Program

We are looking to hire full-time Child Behavioral Support Specialists for our After School Program, which is based at our New Britain facility.
This After School Program is a year-round, intensive initiative that offers a range of therapeutic services to children aged 5-12 who are facing emotional and behavioral challenges.
Services are provided immediately after school and during school breaks, creating a structured environment where children can develop essential coping and social skills while engaging in various activities that foster healthy growth.
We also provide opportunities for recreational activities and community engagement.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the creation of individualized treatment plans and ensure their effective implementation.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain consistency in treatment approaches.
- Provide a stable and therapeutic atmosphere, engaging with clients in a supportive and respectful manner to enhance self-esteem and personal responsibility.
- Implement treatment strategies and behavioral systems in a caring and structured way.
- Encourage open communication with client families and guardians.
- Deliver various services to clients, including transportation, hygiene assistance, and support in daily living skills.
- Plan and participate in recreational activities on and off-site, motivating clients and fostering a positive, therapeutic play environment.
- Transport clients as assigned and participate in physical interventions when necessary, adhering to established policies.
- Maintain necessary training certifications.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree with 2-4 years of experience in a clinical treatment setting preferred.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Certification in Therapeutic Crisis Intervention and CPR/First Aid (training provided).
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
