To work for an organization that believes in Doing The Most Good, apply today The Community Relations Manager (CRM) will develop strategic relationships and partnerships in the community and to secure financial resources and volunteers by planning for, managing and enhancing the community-interactive efforts of The Salvation Army of Oak Creek. The CRM is responsible to build community collaborations and networking, special events, seasonal and annual fundraising, corps marketing efforts and serve as liaison to advisory organizations. In coordination with the DHQ Development Department, the CRM will work within the process established by DHQ as it relates to grant management, including applications, reporting and compliance, public and media relations, foundation and corporate relations, donor management and other duties as assigned. The CRM advises and makes recommendations to the Corps Officer regarding overall community relations and development goals, objectives, programs, procedures, and policies. About the role: Identify, initiate, and deepen relationships with various community stakeholders in the areas that we serve, with a focus on key groups, including donors, community partners and civic and government leaders, schools and other groups. Work in collaboration with DHQ and Milwaukee County development teams to develop, coordinate and implement a regional fundraising plan to meet budgeted goals for current and expanded operations and setting specific goals for all fundraising activities in the service area. Cultivate key community/business partnerships and collaborate in identifying community needs, as well as securing resources to meet those needs. Proactively search out opportunities for interviews and speaking engagements with government, civic and community groups for Corps Officers and other department leaders. Invite local community partners, law enforcement, civic, religious, court, social services groups and the general public for program or facility tours. In coordination with Corps Officers and DHQ grant writer, provide coordination and reporting of grant writing and administering for all grants to The Salvation Army Oak Creek.
