Key Responsibilities
  • Sanitation Operations Management: Develop and implement effective sanitation procedures to ensure compliance with food safety regulations and company policies.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and manage a team of sanitation personnel to ensure timely and adequate sanitation functions.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance and repair of sanitation equipment to ensure it is in good working condition.
  • Training and Development: Provide training and guidance to employees on safety procedures, proper techniques, and the correct use of chemicals and equipment.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of sanitation activities, training documentation, and equipment maintenance.
  • Quality Assurance: Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to ensure that sanitation operations meet quality standards.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with other departments, including Operations, Maintenance, and Management, to ensure seamless operations.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: 3-5 years of sanitation experience in a food manufacturing facility, with 1-2 years of supervisory experience.
  • Skills and Qualifications: Strong leadership and management skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and knowledge of food safety regulations and company policies.
  • Certifications and Training: Certification in AIB, HACCP, PCQI, or other related programs, and completion of training programs in sanitation and food safety.
Working Conditions

The Sanitation Operations Manager will work in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment, with exposure to wet and humid conditions, heat, and extreme cold. The employee will be required to wear a slip-resistant safety steel toe shoe and follow all safety and food safety practices.

Physical Demands

The Sanitation Operations Manager will be required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms. The employee will occasionally be required to sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 70 pounds.
