JOB SUMMARY: Your Flight Plan

The primary responsibility of the Lifestyle Coordinator at Wilderness Preserve is to drive the culture of hospitality excellence, standards of service, and resident engagement through events and programming. The Lifestyle Coordinator is responsible for assisting Clubhouse Management and Staff by leading and managing daily events and programs throughout the Preserve at Wilderness Lake amenities. (e.g., pools, tennis court, basketball court, soccer field, sand volleyball court, parks, docks, Activities Center, Nature Center, and playgrounds).

This is an active and engaging community role which is responsible for providing indoor and outdoor programs and events suitable and engaging for all residents: (e.g., Basketball Tournaments, Soccer Shootouts, Activities involving the pools, Game Nights for all ages, Book Club, Running Club, Fall Festival, Haunted House, Christmas Parade, Breakfast with Santa, Lighting of the Menorah, Spring Picnic & Egg Hunts, Storytime for Tots, Holiday BBQs & Pool Parties, Bubble Mania, Wine Tastings, Movie Nights, Cooking Classes, Art Classes for all ages, Oktoberfest, Kid's Costume Parade, Aquatics' Classes, Bike Safety Seminars, CPR/First Aid/AED & Babysitting Classes, Volunteer Programs, and Business Expos).

Most of the events are hosted outside and require the presence and management of the Lifestyle Coordinator throughout the event.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: Ready to Fly

  • Coordinate, execute, and promote interest in events, recreational activities, events organized by resident liaisons, and leisure programs, such as sports, games, socials, movies, hobbies, and arts
  • Organize spontaneous indoor activities during inclement weather
  • Collaborate with a team of professionals and volunteers with the goal of creating an enriching event calendar for residents of all ages and interests.
  • Communicate and interface with residents in person and through structured written communications while focusing on continued development of a resort like lifestyle in which staff are committed to creating the "Wow" moments for residents and guests
  • Debrief with all personnel after events to improve and grow future events
  • Manage the special events budget
  • Respond to resident/guest complaints and promptly address their concerns with Clubhouse Management
  • Monitor food safety conditions, staff conformance with safety procedures and ensure the rules and regulations of the amenity center facilities are being followed
  • Attend team meetings
  • Prepare clear and concise reports, work with entertainment companies and programming contractors to secure agreements, certificates of insurance, and W-9 forms for events
  • Required to perform any task that is necessary for the execution of all lifestyle programs and events
  • Sign residents/guests in when needed for programming and events
  • Report to and complete all assigned tasks set forth by the Board of Supervisors and Clubhouse Management.
  • Must be able to lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds
  • Assist with the daily needs and upkeep of the domesticated animals in the Nature Center (e.g., Birds, Fish, Bearded Dragon, Guinea Pig, etc.)
  • Assist with creating the monthly newsletter and marketing materials
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: The Wingspan Needed
  • High school diploma required; college degree is preferred
  • A minimum of 1 year experience in a similar field requiring similar event, customer service skills, and other responsibilities. Competent in Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Knowledge of Social Media Outlets
  • Current Driver's License
  • Strong community engagement
  • Occasional travel may be required.
