FANUC America Corporation provides the most complete range of industry-leading robotics, CNC and motion control systems, and ROBODRILL machining centers. Our innovative technologies and proven expertise help manufacturers in the Americas to be more efficient, reliable and profitable. We are currently searching for a dynamic, Electrician to operate, maintain, and upgrade electrical distribution for FANUC America’s headquarter locations in accordance with National Electrical code, National Electrical Manufacturers Association, OSHA and other local regulatory agencies.
Primary responsibilities will include:
-
Maintain control of all electrical distribution throughout the facility
-
Perform electrical maintenance as defined by work schedule and facilities request system
-
Assist Senior Technical Specialist HVAC as circumstances dictate
-
Provide Facilities Manager input on special projects (e.g., construction projects, equipment selection, cost-reductions, etc.)
-
Operate and program building fire alarm / monitoring systems
-
Respond in an appropriate manner to all unsafe practices, lighting outages, and power problems
-
Follow state and local building regulations based on the National Electric Code
-
Ensure that work is done in accordance with relevant codes
-
Able to work effectively with associated trades such as HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, and compressed air to complete construction projects or building upgrades efficiently.
Ideal candidate will have the following experience and education:
-
High School Diploma or equivalent
-
A minimum of 5 years of combined experience and training similar to that required in a bona fide apprenticeship program as an Electrician; or a U.S. Department of Labor Completion of Apprenticeship Certificate as an Electrician
-
Master Electrician License preferred
-
In depth knowledge of legislation (e.g. OSHA) and procedures
-
Previous experience in Construction, Industrial or Manufacturing environment preferred
-
Experience working with blueprints, drawings, layouts or other specifications
-
Electrical experience supporting manufacturing operations including knowledge and troubleshooting experience to locate and diagnose trouble in electrical systems or equipment preferred
-
Experience in preventative maintenance including replacing broken or defective parts in equipment or machines, electrical equipment and tooling
-
Familiar with National Electrical Code (NEC) , National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA), National Fire Protection Code and Safety (NFPA) standards
-
Ability to read, understand and build to construction specific documents
-
Ability to lift a minimum of 50lbs, work in elevated heights, climb ladders and work in confined spaces
-
Willingness to travel to multiple FANUC facilities
