The Opportunity

As Senior Manager of Billing and Collections at Catalis, you will be responsible for leading the Billing & Collections teams at Catalis. This role is instrumental in ensuring accurate order processing, customer billing and renewals, cash collections plus execution of internal controls and oversight of key platforms and systems. You will be a key leader of the finance team and will collaborate heavily with the sales and operations functions to help support go-to-market strategies, scalability, strategic growth and to accomplish the objectives of the company. This role is hybrid, and the ideal candidate will be in the Alpharetta/Atlanta, Georgia area.

What you Will do
  • Lead, manage and develop lean billing and collections teams, fostering operational efficiency, professional growth and professional development.
  • Manage orders, billing, renewals, and cash collections processes including subscriptions, licenses, transactional, and professional services ensuring accuracy, consistency, timeliness and frictionless customer contacts.
  • Ensure that customer invoices are accurately compiled with all required documentation, sent and collected on a timely basis.
  • Develop and own internal controls to ensure accurate accounting outputs and safeguard company assets and develop policies, procedures, and workflows.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on all things billing and collections related.
  • Work with financial statement auditors to support audit and disclosure requirements.
  • Assist with system-related projects administered by Corporate Operations and the Finance Department, particularly Salesforce and NetSuite as primary owner of billing systems of records.
  • Cultivate an environment that encourages maximum productivity and service effectiveness, personal growth and development, open communication and teamwork.
  • Provide outstanding customer service to employees, department leaders, management, auditors, vendors and customers.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders at the company, including Corporate Accounting, Tax, FP&A, Legal, HR, Sales, Revenue Operations, IT and others.
Requirements

What you Will Need to Succeed
  • 5+ years of experience working in general corporate or public accounting, including 2+ years as a supervisor/leader over billing and collections teams.
  • Highly Desirable: Experience in a software-as-a-service company.
  • BA/BS in Accounting, Finance or related field or equivalent experience.
  • Understanding of ASC 606 revenue recognition accounting rules and systematic aspects of billing and collections.
  • Experience supporting accounting operations and reporting across multiple business units with strong accounting research skills.
  • Basic understanding of sales tax related to billing.
  • Experience with NetSuite, SalesForce, Kantata, Workday and other systems a plus.
  • Strong project management experience, ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adaptable to changing priorities and evolving responsibilities.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills, verbal and written communications skills, and strong customer orientation
