Position Summary

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in overall finance, budgeting, software, banking relationships, P&L analysis, purchasing protocols, and proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel. As the Director of Finance, you will play a critical role in managing the financial health of our organization, ensuring optimal revenue generation, and providing strategic financial guidance.

Job Functions/Duties:

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

Financial Management:
  • Manage all aspects of financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Develop and implement financial strategies to maximize revenue generation and minimize costs and safeguard company assets.
  • Advise financial analysis and insights for decision-making to support organizational growth and profitability.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and industry standards.
  • Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and other financial service providers.
Financial Reporting and Analysis:
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and forecasts.
  • Conduct financial analysis, including variance analysis and trend identification, to drive strategic decision-making and operational improvements.
  • Present financial data and insights to executive leadership, providing recommendations and action plans to improve financial performance.
Healthcare Billing and Revenue Cycle Management:
  • Possess a strong understanding of healthcare billing practices and revenue cycle management.
  • Utilize industry knowledge to optimize billing processes and maximize revenue generation.
  • Monitor and assess the effectiveness of billing systems and workflows, recommending enhancements when necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant billing regulations, including HIPAA and CMS guidelines.
  • Collaborate with billing teams to resolve complex billing issues and minimize denials
Vendor Management:
  • Maintain relationships with banking institutions, monitoring cash flow and optimizing financial partnerships.
  • Maintain relationships with vendors, negotiating favorable terms and managing contracts.
  • Identify and improve controls and protocols for purchasing and procurement processes, ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Contract management and compliance, ensuring adherence to purchasing protocols.
Systems and Software:
  • Possess expertise in financial software systems, including QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel.
  • Utilize and optimize financial software to streamline processes and enhance reporting capabilities.
  • Stay updated on technological advancements in financial systems and recommend improvements as necessary.
  • Collaborate with the IT department to ensure financial software integration and alignment.
Team Leadership and Collaboration:
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Implement financial policies, procedures, and strategies to optimize financial performance.
  • Provide budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Collaborate effectively with other departments, fostering strong working relationships and promoting cross-functional teamwork. Provide guidance and mentorship to ensure high performance and continuous professional development.
  • Provide strategic financial guidance to the executive team and drive financial decision-making.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to the CFO and senior leadership, offering financial expertise and insights to support strategic initiatives.
Skills and Knowledge:
  • In-depth understanding of financial management principles, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Experience in leading and developing finance teams, with strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present complex financial information to diverse audiences.
  • High level of integrity and ethics, emphasizing compliance with relevant financial regulations.
  • Proven expertise in billing and revenue cycle management within health care organizations.
  • Excellent knowledge of banking relationships, P&L analysis, purchasing protocols, financial matters.
  • Strong proficiency in financial software, payroll systems, Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks, and other relevant tools.
Requirements:
  • Valid Driver's License and insurance with clean driving record (required).

  • Significant experience (at least 5 years) in senior-level finance roles, preferably in the healthcare industry.
Education:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (required).
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required).
