As a key contributor to Alliant Energy's Federal Funding Office compliance programs, your primary responsibility will be to support the monitoring and compliance of federally funded projects. Working closely with multiple subject matter experts (SMEs), you will ensure that compliance processes are executed and meticulously documented, aligning with oversight and audit requirements from relevant federal and/or state agencies.

In this role, you will provide invaluable expertise for interpreting existing regulatory standards and guidance, as well as applying both existing and new regulatory standards and guidance applicable to Alliant Energy's projects funded by federal dollars. What you will do
  • Uses technical and regulatory expertise to interpret, analyze, and implement federal/state regulations and mandates.
  • Provides ultimate direction and guidance for processes to monitor compliance, execution, and investigation related to federal/state compliance policies.
  • Interacts with regulatory agencies at the state, regional, and federal levels as needed to support audits, investigations, and implementation of new programs and requirements.
  • Participates in industry peer group activities to address complex compliance efforts and industry best practices.
  • Uses a broad perspective and industry trend information to design and implement policies, procedures, and compliance solutions.
  • Participates in the development of business strategy affected by compliance issues.
  • Routinely interacts with subject matter experts (SMEs) in multiple departments regarding all compliance activities, investigations, and regulatory communications.
  • Coordinates the development of processes to identify, quantify, analyze, and report on federal/state compliance status.
  • Mentors and assists with the training, development, and leadership of less experienced standard compliance specialists.
  • Engage in other duties as needed that support Alliant Energy's Values and help deliver on our Purpose to serve customers and build stronger communities.
Education Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree Compliance, Engineering, Power Systems Operation, Information Technology, Telecommunications or Business Administration is preferred.
Required Experience
  • 8 years' experience in compliance, engineering, power systems operations, information technology and/or telecommunications.
