JOB DESCRIPTION We are looking for a seasoned and innovative Manager of People Operations & Total Rewards dedicated to fostering a high-performance culture and ensuring the attraction and retention of our workforce to advance Skedulo’s mission. The Manager, People Operations & Total Rewards will lead, refine, and scale all total rewards, and people operations, systems, and data. These systems and processes are essential components of Skedulo’s operating system. Getting them right will require you to be a strategic partner in defining, documenting, and bringing to life our culture of high-performing innovation and delivery. This will involve building and running the systems, programming, and the team to independently drive the development and execution of strategic initiatives to continuously improve compensation, benefits, employee onboarding and offboarding, feedback and decision-making systems and insights, technology solutions and operations, compliance, policy and procedure administration, and more. The ideal candidate will bring a strong combination of business acumen, a breadth of people operations experience in order to build, maintain and refine our global People Ops tech stack and programming that supports our culture and People at Skedulo. Finally, you thrive when you’re in a creative, scrappy, collaborative environment where the best ideas change the company's direction. This position will be based in the United States or Brisbane, AU and reports directly to the VP, People. This position will also be managing the Global People Operations team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Employee Experience Create and implement impactful communication strategies to articulate our narrative and educate employees on our compensation and benefits programs, fostering comprehension and appreciation (Ex: maintaining a strong Employee Value Proposition via Total Rewards Statements). Responsible for overseeing the global onboarding and offboarding process and maintaining an experience that embodies our company values and culture, focusing on optimizing the new hire & leaver experience including employee life cycle management.

Compensation and Benefits Management

Manage and maintain internal Compensation Framework making sure it’s holistic, and our total rewards strategy encompassing compensation, benefits, recognition programs, and other rewards that drive employee engagement, motivation, and retention. Responsible for integrating compensation and rewards with performance management to align with both individual and organizational goals. Manage and run the annual compensation salary data repository from global compensation benchmarking platform Radford and other secondary data sources annually. Manage and maintain the design, implementation, and administration of our employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, wellness initiatives, and other perks. Conduct regular market analysis and benchmarking to ensure that compensation and benefits packages remain competitive and compliant with industry standards and regulations. Partner with VP, People and senior leadership to design and manage executive compensation programs that incentivize performance and support our business objectives.

HR Systems and Compliance

Manage and maintain our comprehensive people systems infrastructure, strategy, and roadmap, becoming the central owner across various enterprise and productivity tools managed by the People team. Ensure People technology systems comply with data privacy and security regulations and maintain the highest data protection standards. Manage relationships with external vendors, consultants, and brokers to optimize the delivery of compensation and benefits services and control costs. Provide mentorship and guidance to the global People team, fostering a culture of collaboration, transparency, innovation, and continuous improvement. Responsible for managing global policies (including internal policies and programs), uncovering any gaps, revising, and ensuring that all employee handbooks and local/regional supplements are up to date. Stay abreast of relevant laws, regulations, and best practices related to compensation and benefits, ensuring compliance and mitigating risks. Serve as an employee relations partner, working closely with PBPs and people managers, helping with complex situations and providing support as needed including running investigations and reporting back to the VP, People & Talent or relevant PBP as applicable. Coordinate with other Shared Services teams to deliver scaled programs and projects (e.g., systems implementation) and innovate quickly with a smooth, end-to-end user experience.

Leadership and Strategy Manage the global team responsible for all things related to our Total Rewards, HR systems, analytics, and operations. Develop and execute a strategic compensation plan that attracts and retains top talent while aligning with our company's financial goals and market competitiveness. Other ongoing projects and tasks as requested by the VP, People or the Executive Team. Support VP, People & Talent with pulling and maintaining ongoing HR metrics / dashboard and preparing data and presentations for the executive team.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

4+ years of progressive experience in compensation, benefits, systems, people analytics, and HR technology, with at least three years in a managerial role, operating as a player/coach. 1-2 years experience launching or driving implementations requiring change management communication. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and adept at creating compelling narratives to communicate value and drive growth plans. Ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Strong people analytical skill set with an ability to create metrics and dashboards to interpret data, analyze trends, and make data-driven decisions. Deep knowledge of compensation principles, practices, and trends, including incentive design, equity compensation, and executive pay. Experience designing and administering employee benefits programs, including health and welfare plans, retirement savings plans, and wellness initiatives. Must be able to work effectively in an environment with a high level of ambiguity.

DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

Experience in the technology industry is preferred. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree preferred. Certified Compensation Professional (CCP), Certified Benefits Professional (CBP), or similar certifications are preferred. An unyielding passion for providing the ultimate employee experience and serving as a model of Whatnot's values in the experience of cross-functional partners working with the team Experience in systems implementation that includes integration across business systems beyond the People team, such as Finance, Corp Eng, and IT Previous experience as Head of Total Rewards and People Operations at a similar company in size and structure. Experience with IPO is a plus. Experience managing or implementing HR ticketing system; and other HR system implementation. Knowledgeable in global employment law and policy creation. Previous experience working closely in or with total rewards teams. Possess a Master’s degree in HR or similar field of study (HR certification is also a plus such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or PHR, SPHR).

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

This position will require no more than 20% travel from time to time as set forth by the Company. Must have a valid US work visa upon hire to be considered for this position. Must have reliable internet connection and an at home workstation setup given the remote nature of the position. This position involves global support, so there may be days where outside normal working hours may be required.
