This is a hybrid role, working in office 3-4 days per week, and 1-2 days remote. Flexible hours Monday - Friday, 20 hours/week.

What you will be doing

  • Events:
    • Administer the employee and agent recognition and events program, such as Legends (longevity recognition event) and Emmy (performance recognition program and event) including vendor communications and reporting.
    • Assist with planning and execution of employee and agent company events throughout the year.
    • Handle event registration and attendance communications, including special requests by participants or sponsors.
  • Administrative:
    • Coordinate employee programs and initiatives, including years of service recognition gifts, employee appreciation gifts, First Aid/CPR/AED training, and our annual employee/agent survey. Handle vendor relations and negotiations; program design; and recognition program gift concerns.
    • Partner with other departments and senior leadership on planning details as needed.
    • Oversee the referral bonus program.
    • Coordinate the monthly new employee orientation program. Assist with the presentation materials and covering company information with new employees.
    • Handle agent and employee safety incident reports and tracking. Partner with parent company on reporting and filing worker's compensation claims as needed.
    • Distribute department communications and documentation to ensure understanding of employee programs and activities.
    • Perform administrative functions such as tracking data and generating reports as needed.
    • Maintain company-specific job descriptions.
    • Provide lunch coverage for the corporate reception area.
  • Handle special projects and other duties as assigned.

What you will need to be successful

Education:
  • Associate's degree in business administration, or related field, or equivalent work experience and knowledge.
Experience:
  • Two plus years of related experience in events and administration strongly preferred.
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Proficient with Microsoft and technical applications - Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to stand on your feet for an extended period of time and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • With advance notice, availability to work events that extend into the evening.
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects.
  • Accuracy and strong attention to detail is a must.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Ability to work with sensitive and confidential information.
